PCS Retirement Appoints Janis Benson as General Counsel

PCS Retirement, one of the largest independent retirement plan recordkeepers in the US, has appointed Janis Benson as General Counsel.

Benson brings more than 25 years of legal leadership experience across retirement services, investment advisory, insurance, and financial services. In her new role, she will lead the company’s legal function and strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management to support its continued growth.

Most recently, Benson served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Principal Financial Group, where she led legal teams supporting retirement, investment, trust and custody, banking, insurance, and advisory businesses. She has experience in ERISA compliance, trust operations, corporate governance, retirement product development, and enterprise risk management.
