Turnout Raises $35M in Series A Funding Led by HighPost Capital

Turnout, a San Diego, CA-based provider of AI-powered consumer advocacy services, has raised $35 million in a Series A funding round led by HighPost Capital.
The round also saw participation from Shine Capital, LGVP, Mangusta Capital, Honeystone Ventures, and investor Omri Casspi. The company is valued at $400 million.
The company plans to use the funding to grow its AI agent platform, Jake, and expand its human advocate team across the country.
Building on its experience helping clients with Social Security disability and Veterans benefits, Turnout will use the funding to expand into two new areas: healthcare and education.
Outdated systems and bureaucratic processes prevent millions of Americans from accessing the benefits they are entitled to. For example, over 8.6 million people receive Social Security disability benefits, yet about 70% of new claims are denied at the initial application stage.
Each year, veterans submit more than 2.5 million VA disability and pension claims and often wait four months or more for decisions that affect their long-term income. Nearly 8 million children have an active IEP or 504 plan, but parents are often left to navigate the process alone without professional support. In addition, 67 million Americans enrolled in Medicare are expected to manage a complex healthcare system without outside assistance.
Turnout combines AI and licensed human advocates to help people navigate complex systems to access essential benefits. Its AI agent, Jake, handles time-consuming tasks such as waiting on hold, gathering records, filling out applications, and identifying when human help is needed.
Licensed advocates step in for situations that require experience, and personal support. This hybrid approach makes high quality advocacy more accessible to everyone not just those who can afford private assistance.
"When people need help the most, they often have no one truly advocating for them," said David Moross, Co-Founder and CEO of HighPost Capital. "Turnout is changing that by combining AI and human expertise in a way that makes real advocacy accessible to everyone."

"We started Turnout because the gap between what Americans are entitled to and what they actually receive is inexcusable," said Itai Hirsch, founder, and CEO of Turnout. "We're building the advocate they deserve. One that knows them, stays with them and doesn't disappear when the matter closes."
