The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its next phase of growth and expand its platform across three key areas: data, AI and code.

“With the new funding, Upwind will accelerate product development and go-to-market efforts while continuing to invest in customer support and global growth. The company plans to expand its platform across three key areas—data, AI, and code advancing AI security within its core cloud platform and extending its runtime-first approach closer to developers to prevent misconfigurations before they reach production.”

“The Series B marks the start of what Upwind calls ‘The Next Wave,’ its next phase of growth aimed at scaling runtime-first cloud security to power a new era of AI and real-time cloud applications for enterprises worldwide. As cloud infrastructure evolves faster than traditional security models, Upwind is designed for the future of cloud security, not the past. This funding round reflects growing market recognition and validates both its customers and the broader opportunity.”

“Cloud infrastructure is evolving faster than traditional security models,” said Amiram Shachar, CEO & Co founder of Upwind. “The next era of cloud security requires real time signals. Upwind is built for the future of the cloud, not the past. This funding round is a key milestone that reflects growing recognition and validates what customers and the market see.”

“Cloud security is one of the fastest-growing areas in cybersecurity, and Upwind stood out as the right team with the right product at the right time,” said Elliott Robinson, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. Their runtime-first approach, focus on real signals, and experienced founding team have built a platform trusted by security, engineering, and DevOps teams. We’re proud to partner with Upwind as they make the next-generation cloud security platform.”

“During this period, Upwind doubled its workforce from 150 to over 300 and expanded its presence in key markets including the U.S., U.K. and Israel, with growing momentum in Australia, India, Singapore and Japan. Today, it secures millions of workloads for global enterprises such as Waste Management, Siemens, Carvana, Roku, ClickUp, Wix, Nubank, Agoda, Peloton, Fiverr and BILL helping security teams cut through noise. Customers report a 98% drop in alerts and 60% fewer irrelevant CVEs, enabling teams to focus on real risks using runtime context instead of static signals.”

“Cloud security has lacked real context for too long,” said Jerich Beason, CISO at Waste Management. “Upwind changes that by showing what’s happening at runtime and why it matters. Its platform lets us analyse our own data in real time, saving time and money while improving cloud security. They’re building the future of cloud security, and we’re glad to be on board early.”

“To drive global enterprise adoption, Upwind has expanded its ecosystem, adding 100+ ISV, MSP and reseller partners, launching a strategic partnership with NVIDIA and strengthening ties with hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure and AWS. These moves reinforce Upwind’s runtime first approach and position the company to shape the future of cloud security.”

“Upwind’s rapid growth reflects the industry’s urgent need for a new approach to cloud security, built for real time challenges,” said Saam Motamedi, General Partner at Greylock.

“We’ve partnered with Amiram and the Upwind team since inception and have seen how they’ve set the standard for category leadership through true innovation and a platform designed for modern cloud environments. We’re proud to continue supporting Upwind as they lead the category forward.”

“We’ve believed in Amiram and the Upwind team since the Spot.io days, and our confidence has only grown as the company has executed,” said Gideon Hayden, Co-founder & Managing Partner at Leaders Fund. “Whenever we’ve had the chance to invest further, we’ve doubled down. The move away from static security is inevitable in an AI-powered, real-time cloud world, and Upwind is built for how modern cloud environments actually operate. This team is setting the standard for cloud security in the largest market in cybersecurity.”

“As cloud security rapidly shifts toward runtime, we believe Upwind has become the clear leader with the first and only runtime-native cloud security platform,” said Carson Fullard, Managing Director at Alta Park. “Upwind’s runtime-centric CNAPP has been battle-tested by leading enterprises with complex cloud environments. Since our initial investment over a year ago, it’s been remarkable to see the team’s customer focus and product velocity as they deliver new capabilities and shape the future of cloud security.”

“Upwind has earned broad recognition across the cloud security market. The company was named CNADR Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan, a Leader and Outperformer in Container Security, and included in Gartner’s 2025 CNAPP Market Guide and three Hype Cycles, with a 4.9/5 rating on Gartner Peer Insights. Upwind also appears on Fortune’s Cyber 60, CRN’s 2025 Stellar Startups in Security, the QKS Group SPARK Matrix™ for CNAPP, ISMG’s 2025 CNAPP Market Guide, and Latio’s 2025 Cloud Security Market Report as a two-time Leader.”

“Upwind continues to set the standard for next-generation cloud security,” said Michael Robinson, Partner at Craft Ventures. “From the start, the team recognised that AI-driven cloud environments need a runtime-centric approach. This is our third major investment, reflecting our confidence in a customer-focused team shaping the future of cloud security.”
