Working Capital Partners, a NYC-based provider of a structured capital platform for elite talent across sports, music and entertainment, has closed its Series A funding round led by WTSL—the investment firm founded by Patrick Whitesell and Jason Lublin.
The financial terms were not disclosed.
The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and continue development.
Working Capital Partners (WCP) was founded by Grady Gamble and Jesse Greenberg, with Chris Koras leading its sports division. The firm helps top athletes and artists access money based on their future earnings, without losing control of their careers or assets.

In sports, WCP treats player contracts as financial assets. This lets athletes access their earnings early, rather than waiting years to receive them.
In music, WCP offers an alternative to selling catalogues. Artists can get similar financial benefits while keeping full ownership and control of their work.
Jesse Greenberg said WCP was created to give talent access to money while keeping flexibility and ownership. Jason Lublin of WTSL added that as athletes take greater control of their careers, they need new types of financial partners, such as WCP.
The WCP team includes experienced professionals and is supported by partners across sports, entertainment, and finance. Grady Gamble said the company focuses on helping talent succeed long term, not just providing quick funding.
As WCP grows, it plans to expand into more areas of entertainment and the creator economy.
