CA-based Zededa secures $72million in growth funding. Smith Point Capital led the round, which raised the total to $127 million. New investors Hillman Company, LDV Partners, Endeavour Catalyst Fund, and Forward Investments (DEWA) also participated.

A list of returning investors includes Lux Capital, Almaz Capital, Coast Range Capital, Juniper Networks, Emerson Ventures, Chevron Technology Ventures, 5G Open Innovation Lab, Rockwell Automation, and Porsche Ventures. The company plans to accelerate its global expansion with the usage of the money.

Zededa extends the cloud experience to the edge by making edge computing simple, transparent, and inherently safe under the direction of CEO and Founder Said Ouissal. It improves visibility, security, and control while lowering the cost of managing and coordinating distributed edge applications and infrastructure.
