Arizona-Based Amkor Technology Announces Strategic Partnership with NVIDIA 

As part of the agreement, NVIDIA will provide an upfront payment to help Amkor expand its advanced chip packaging capacity in the United States.

The partnership also aims to expand advanced chip packaging and testing capabilities in the United States, helping strengthen local semiconductor manufacturing and build a more reliable supply chain for AI infrastructure.

With support from NVIDIA, Amkor will expand its operations in Arizona while continuing to use its manufacturing facilities across Asia. This will create a stronger and more balanced global supply chain.

Advanced chip packaging is important for improving the performance, power efficiency and integration of AI systems. NVIDIA and Amkor will work together to develop new packaging technologies, including high-density interconnects and next generation chip integration.

Amkor already provides advanced packaging for many NVIDIA products, including data center processors, networking chips, and AI computing systems. The expanded partnership will help bring these new technologies to market faster as demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow.
