Benji Raises $6.25M in Seed Funding Led by Preface Ventures

Benji, a Chicago, IL- and NYC-based provider of a universal API for loyalty partnerships, has raised $6.25 million in a seed funding round led by Preface Ventures and Atinc.
The round also saw participation from Great North Ventures, M25, and Hyde Park Venture Partners.
The company plans to use the funding to grow its engineering and go-to-market teams in Chicago and New York, while continuing to build integrations across its loyalty partnership network.
Loyalty programs have become an important and fast-growing part of the consumer economy, but they are often difficult and expensive for companies to manage. Airlines, hotels, retailers, banks, and consumer brands increasingly depend on partnerships to attract and keep customers, yet the technology behind many loyalty systems is outdated. Building a single loyalty integration can cost companies millions of dollars and take more than a year to complete.
Benji helps simplify this process. Through one API, brands can connect loyalty programs across industries to support rewards earning, redemption, transfers, and other partnership features without creating new integrations each time. The platform can reduce integration timelines from months to just days, helping companies launch loyalty partnerships much faster.
Loyalty programs are becoming a key part of the growing connection between industries such as travel, retail, hospitality, and fintech. According to McKinsey & Company, these connected ecosystems could help drive between $70 trillion and $100 trillion in global economic activity.
At the same time, brands are under pressure to give customers more flexible ways to earn and use rewards points. Loyalty teams are also expected to launch partnerships more quickly and more often, but many older systems were not built for this level of speed and scale. Partnerships that were once simple marketing campaigns are now becoming long-term operational relationships between companies and platforms.
“We kept hearing the same thing from loyalty teams: everybody wants partnerships, but almost nobody has enterprise-grade infrastructure to launch them quickly,” said Nick Anastasiades, co-founder and CEO of Benji. “The industry still runs on a huge amount of custom work behind the scenes. We built Benji to remove that friction so companies can spend less time stitching systems together and more time building programs customers actually want to use.”
“Loyalty is a massive market, but Fortune 2000 marketing teams have been hamstrung in their ability to co-build customers with trusted brands,” said Farooq Abbasi, General Partner at Preface Ventures. “Benji’s team has solved this product-first, and the pull across the biggest companies in the world, across industry, has been exceptional.”
