California-Based PsiQuantum Appoints Niklas Zennström to Board of Directors

Zennström co-founded Skype and served as its CEO before founding Atomico in 2006. He has also played an important role in supporting the growth of Europe’s technology sector as a founder, investor, and board member.

Zennström’s appointment builds on Atomico’s long standing relationship with PsiQuantum. He replaces Siraj Khaliq, who joined PsiQuantum’s Board of Directors in 2019 when Atomico first invested in the company.

Zennström’s appointment comes as PsiQuantum continues to strengthen its leadership team and Board of Directors. In July, the company appointed Victor Peng as CEO, after he had served as Interim CEO since February.

PsiQuantum also appointed Rob Soderbery as Executive Vice President and Sriram Sitaraman as Chief Information Officer. In April, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan also joined PsiQuantum’s Board of Directors.
