Point2 Closes Series B Extension Funding

Apr 23, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Point2 Technologies, a San Jose, CA-based developer of RF-based interconnect solutions for AI data center infrastructure, has raised an undisclosed amount in a Series B extension funding round led by Maverick Silicon, with participation from NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm) and UMC Capital.

The funding brings the company’s Series B total to $76 million, and it plans to use the funds to accelerate its go-to-market efforts, advance its Active RF Cable (ARC) platform, and develop future solutions such as near-package (NPE) and co-packaged e-Tube (CPE) for next-generation rack-scale computing systems.

Large cloud providers and chip makers are seeking better options that offer higher bandwidth, greater energy efficiency, and lower costs at scale. This investment shows growing interest in Point2’s e-Tube platform as a new way to connect systems at scale, further supported by its recognition as a BloombergNEF Pioneers winner for sustainable data center technology.

As large cloud providers build bigger and more connected XPU clusters, the main limitation is now how systems are connected, not the compute itself. Traditional copper connections are reaching their limits at high data speeds, while optical solutions can entail higher costs, greater power consumption, and greater complexity.

“We are honored to welcome Maverick Silicon as the lead investor in this round, and deeply appreciate the support from NVentures and UMC Capital,” said Sean Park, CEO and Co-Founder of Point2 Technology. “As AI systems scale, interconnectivity is increasingly the limiting factor. Our e-Tube platform takes a fundamentally different approach—using RF techniques to deliver the reach, efficiency, and latency required for next-generation scale-up architectures. This investment reflects the growing ecosystem support around that vision.”

“Point2’s RF based interconnect addresses critical limitations in scaling next-generation AI infrastructure,” said Andrew Homan, Managing Partner at Maverick Silicon. “We’re excited to support the Point2 team as they move toward commercialization, and broad deployment.”

“Point2 has an elegant approach not only for higher bandwidth density but also for simplifying the cable alignment, allowing new possibilities in data center system design,” said Kris Peng, President at UMC Capital. “We are pleased to support the company as it advances toward commercialization and broader ecosystem adoption.”

About Point2

Founded in 2016, by Sean (Jinho) Park, Point2 develops low-power, high-speed RF and mixed signal chips that enable fast, scalable connections for AI and advanced computing. Its e-Tube platform introduces Active RF Cables (ARCs), offering a new way to overcome the limits of traditional copper and optical connections, and support next-generation data center infrastructure.
