California-based Characterx secures $2.8 million in seed funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners, INCE Capital, and Spark Digital Capital led the funding round. CGV, ZC Capital, GRI, Fermion Capital, 84000LP, Fan Zhang, and other investors were also involved.
The money will be used by the company to increase interest in the Web3 and AIGC spaces.
Characterx is a decentralised artificial social network with over 500,000 users that blends blockchain technology and AGI technology. It was founded by a team at Stanford University.

CharacterX is creating a sophisticated multi-modal AI architecture that combines next-generation computational platforms with multi-sensory data, such as 3D and AR experiences, to provide enhanced social experiences.
Additionally, the business is creating proactive AI agents especially for social contexts. Users can have a personalised and genuine social experience using ERC6551’s decentralised AI memories and consciousness management, all while protecting their privacy and security.

Recently, they released a developer website and mobile applications for Android and iOS called CharacterX, which allow users to form strong emotional bonds with artificial intelligence (AI) entities.
