ClickHouse, a company specializing in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI/ML solutions, has expanded its global go-to-market leadership team with the appointment of Ed Lenta as Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
These new appointments build on the progress made last year with the hiring of Kevin Egan as Chief Revenue Officer, and reflect ClickHouses commitment to expanding its global team to meet growing customer demand.
Ed Lenta has joined ClickHouse to lead the companys go-to-market strategy across the Asia Pacific, and Japan (APJ) region. He brings extensive experience in growing cloud and data platform businesses throughout the region.
Most recently, Lenta served as General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan at Databricks, where he oversaw operations in more than 20 countries and led teams serving customers ranging from startups to large enterprises and government organizations. Earlier in his career, he also helped expand Amazon Web Services and VMware in the APJ market.
Based in Singapore, Lenta will focus on increasing the adoption of ClickHouse Cloud and the company's open-source database across the region. His role will help enterprises and public sector organizations address their growing data and analytics needs.
Lenta's appointment in the Asia Pacific and Japan region is supported by the recent hiring of Takeshi Kaneko as ClickHouses Country Manager for Japan. Kaneko has more than 20 years of experience in the Japanese technology industry. He previously served as President of Nutanix Japan, and has also held leadership roles at Red Hat and Microsoft Japan, bringing extensive experience in growing technology businesses in the Japanese market.
ClickHouse is experiencing strong growth, recently surpassing $250 million in annual run-rate revenue—more than three times higher than a year ago. The company also exceeded 4,000 customers, adding over 1,000 new customers in a single quarter.
Its growing enterprise presence was highlighted at the Open House 2026 user conference, which featured customers such as Visa, Cisco, Intuit, Shopify, DoorDash, Mercado Libre, Zoox and Jump Trading. The recent leadership hires are intended to support this rapid growth by strengthening regional operations, customer relationships and enterprise support capabilities.
ClickHouse also announced several new leadership appointments to strengthen its global sales and revenue organization.
Billy Schoeffel joins as Vice President of Financial Services after leading global financial services sales at Snowflake for more than six years. Kenneth Melero becomes Vice President of Public Sector, bringing over 30 years of experience working with government, education, and public sector organizations.
Maged Shehata joins as Vice President of Global Solutions Architecture with more than 20 years of experience in data, AI, and solution engineering. Andrew Straus becomes Vice President of Global Revenue Strategy and Operations, bringing two decades of experience in revenue operations and go-to-market strategy from companies including Snowflake, Kong, and HPE.
"ClickHouse is emerging as the foundational data infrastructure for the AI era, and the strategic opportunity across Asia Pacific and Japan is enormous," said Lenta. "As agentic workloads scale, enterprises are rethinking their data architecture around both speed and efficiency, and ClickHouse outperforms traditional data warehouses by orders of magnitude on critical cost-performance metrics that unique combination is what makes this technology so category-defining. I'm excited to build the teams and partnerships that will help organizations across the region unlock the full power of real-time analytics at scale."
