
Rejuvenate Bio, a San Diego, CA-based biotechnology company developing gene therapies for age-related and chronic diseases, has raised $6 million in a funding round led by VCapital.
The round also saw participation from Merck Animal Health, Kendall Capital Partners, Connecticut Innovations, and Digitalis.
The company plans to use the funding to continue developing its platform and product pipeline, including new treatments for chronic and age-related diseases in companion animals such as dogs and cats.
Rejuvenate Bio is developing gene therapies designed to improve health, extend lifespan, and treat chronic diseases. Its platform uses advances in gene delivery, biology, and longevity research to create treatments for companion animals, with the long-term goal of applying the technology to human health.

The partnership with Merck Animal Health will focus on developing a targeted gene therapy program using Rejuvenate Bios technology platform, and expertise in translating research into practical treatments.
