Base Power, an Austin, Texas-based provider of distributed energy solutions and home battery systems, has raised $1 billion in a Series D financing round led by Ribbit, Addition, Valor Equity Partners, and JPMorganChase’s Strategic Investment Group, at a $13 billion valuation.
The round also saw participation from Altimeter, D1 Capital Partners, Sands Capital, Coatue, Layer Global, Energy Impact Partners, Thrive Capital, a16z, Lightspeed, Trust Ventures, CapitalG, and others.
The company will use the funding to expand its operation's and accelerate product development.
