Corgi Insurance Appoints Daniel Hausman as Vice President

He brings decades of experience in commercial trucking insurance, underwriting, program development, distribution, and risk management.

Hausman has extensive experience in commercial trucking risk and has built and grown insurance programs from the ground up. He holds a CPCU, MBA, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Before joining Corgi, Hausman helped grow CSMV Underwriters from zero to nearly $20 million in one year. At Nirvana, he was the first Non-Fleet Business Development Manager and helped build the program from zero to $30 million.

His work covered pricing, policy forms, market strategy, distribution, broker guidelines, customer complaints, incentives, and program development.

At Transportation Insurance Experts (TIE), Hausman helped negotiate a better capacity agreement for its Knight Specialty binding contract and expand distribution, contributing to 180% year-over-year profitable growth. He also led underwriting and compliance audits, updated rules and guidelines, and improved the company’s monthly data reporting process.
