Corridian Raises $38M in Seed Funding Led by Point72 Ventures

SUMMARY

  • Corridian raised $38 million in seed funding.
  • The funds will support product development and hiring.
  • Corridian builds underwater vehicles for defence use.

Corridian, a Boston, MA-based provider of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), has raised $38 million in a Seed funding round.

The round was led by Point72 Ventures with participation from Balerion Space Ventures, Harpoon Ventures, DCVC, Marlinspike, and a syndicate of additional defense and deep-tech investors.

The company will use the funds to continue developing its flagship underwater vehicle, build its research and development facility, and expand its undersea engineering team.

What is Corridian?

Corridian designs and manufactures large autonomous underwater vehicles that can transport payloads across long ocean distances without a crew.

Its vehicles are designed to carry ISO-standard containerised payloads and travel thousands of nautical miles. The company is developing platforms for payload delivery, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and logistics in contested maritime areas.

Corridian aims to provide the US and its allies with another way to transport equipment and gather intelligence in regions where ships and aircraft may face security risks.

The company also uses a supply chain independent of the Submarine Industrial Base. This approach is intended to add undersea capacity without competing for the shipyards and suppliers used to build crewed submarines.

About Corridian

How Much Funding Has Corridian Raised?

Corridian has raised $38 million in its seed funding round. The company has not disclosed its total funding raised to date or details of any previous funding rounds.

Who Invested in Corridian’s Seed Round?

The $38 million seed round was led by Point72 Ventures.

Other participating investors include:

  • Balerion Space Ventures
  • Harpoon Ventures
  • DCVC
  • Marlinspike
  • Additional defence and deep-tech investors

Why the Funding Matters

Corridian will use the funding to advance its flagship autonomous underwater vehicle, establish its research and development facility, and recruit more engineers.

The company is addressing the need for reliable ways to move payloads and equipment across contested waters. It believes existing underwater platforms have limited capacity to carry large or dense payloads.

Corridian aims to develop vehicles that can transport mission-critical equipment over long distances while operating without a crew.

Who founded Corridian?

Corridian was founded in 2025 by Mike Guay, Mark Bodnar, Greg Barrow and Kyle Arace.

The company is based in New England, with its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.

“America’s dependence on the surface and air domains to move mass at scale is an acute vulnerability,” said Mike Guay, co-founder and CEO of Corridian. “The United States and its allies are buying drones, sensors, effects, and supplies that need a way to reach the fight, even when operating in heavily contested and denied environments.

“We are excited by the commitment the U.S. Navy has shown to the undersea domain, and we see an opportunity in that space for larger AUVs that can deliver greater payload capacity and range at a lower cost,” said Chris Morales, Partner at Point72 Ventures and former naval officer.

Market and Business Growth

Corridian is developing autonomous underwater vehicles for defence and maritime operations.

Its initial focus areas include payload and effects delivery, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and contested logistics. The company plans to serve the US military and allied nations that need additional undersea transportation and operational capacity.

Corridian has not disclosed revenue, customer numbers, contracts or other commercial performance figures.

What Happens Next?

Corridian plans to continue developing its flagship AUV, expand its research and development facility, and strengthen its engineering team.
