Eaton Appoints Shawn Black as President of its Aerospace

Eaton, a global power management company, has appointed Shawn Black as President of its Aerospace business, effective August 17, 2026.

In his new role, Black will lead Eaton’s global Aerospace Group and report to Pete Denk, President and Chief Operating Officer of Eaton’s Industrial Sector.

Black brings more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, with expertise in strategy, operations, business development, and leadership.

Most recently, he served as President of Defense at GKN Aerospace, where he led a global business supporting major defense programs. He previously served as President and CEO of Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions.

Black also spent nearly 16 years at DRS Technologies in various leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager of Electro Optical and Infrared Systems. He began his career as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Eaton is a leading aerospace supplier, providing hydraulic, fuel, oxygen, fluid and air systems, electrical and motion control solutions, and engine products. It also offers aftermarket services and support for commercial and military aircraft.
