Barings, one of the world's leading alternative investment managers, has appointed Brian Maute as Head of U.S. Wealth.

In this newly created role, he will lead the firm’s U.S. wealth distribution strategy across registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, private banks, family offices, and other wealth platforms.
Maute will focus on expanding advisor and investor access to Barings' global investment platform, including credit, real assets, capital solutions, and emerging markets.

He will also work with the firm's investment, product, distribution, and marketing teams to develop solutions and educational resources that help wealth managers use alternative investments in client portfolios.
Before joining Barings, Maute spent more than 15 years at DWS Group, where he most recently served as Head of U.S. Wealth and CEO of DWS Distributors. He previously led the firm's U.S. Wealth Alternative Investments Division, helping expand alternative investment solutions across intermediary channels.
