How Much Funding Has Vaulted Deep Raised?

Vaulted Deep has raised a total of $91 million, including:

  • $48 million in equity funding
  • $8 million from XPRIZE Carbon Removal
  • $35 million in debt financing from Mediobanca

The latest $35 million debt facility was arranged by CFP Energy.

Who Invested in Vaulted Deep’s Debt Funding?

The latest financing was provided by Mediobanca through a $35 million debt facility. CFP Energy arranged the financing.

The facility is supported by Vaulted Deep’s waste service agreements and contracted carbon removal revenue, including offtake agreements with Frontier buyers.

Why the Funding Matters

Vaulted Deep will use the financing to accelerate expansion, advance multiple infrastructure projects, and invest in tools that can help evaluate and develop new sites faster.

Its AI-Accelerated Site Development Platform uses geology, regulatory, and waste-supply data to identify potential sites. Standardized templates and regulatory guides are designed to speed up permitting, while monitoring and control algorithms support operations once a site is running.

Who founded Vaulted Deep?

Vaulted Deep was founded in 2023 by Julia Reichelstein and Omar Abou-Sayed.

The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Leadership Comments

"Waste operators across the country need new options as traditional disposal options become limited. This financing lets us take on more projects and invest in the tools that help us evaluate and develop new sites faster," said Julia Reichelstein, CEO and Co-Founder of Vaulted Deep.

"Frontier's theory of change is that robust demand for carbon removal, in the form of large, multi-year offtake agreements, gives companies the ability to raise the capital required to build and expand their businesses," said Frontier spokesperson Hannah Bebbington Valori.

Market and Business Growth

Vaulted Deep delivered more than 20,000 tons of carbon removal to Frontier buyers in the first half of 2026, exceeding its total deliveries in 2025.

Since 2023, the company has also increased its weekly waste volume sixfold.

The company’s contracted carbon removal revenue includes offtakes with Frontier, an advance market commitment backed by companies including Stripe, Shopify, and Google.

What Happens Next?

Vaulted Deep plans to use the new capital to advance multiple infrastructure projects and expand its operations. It will also continue developing its site evaluation and development tools to make new projects faster to build and replicate.
