Fintech Startup Star Mountain Capital Appoints Michael Patchen as Senior Advisor

Patchen will use his experience in enterprise risk management and AI technology to improve Star Mountain's systems, infrastructure, and operational capabilities.

Michael Patchen has nearly 30 years of experience in financial services, enterprise risk management, and AI technology. He has developed AI-powered tools and risk management systems for large investment firms.

Before joining Star Mountain Capital, he was Partner and Chief Risk Officer at AQR Capital Management, where he oversaw risk management for more than $140 billion in assets and led the development of the firm's cloud-based risk platform.

Before AQR, Michael Patchen held senior leadership roles at Carlson Capital and SAC Capital, where he managed investment risk and oversaw systematic equity portfolios.

Most recently, he co-founded AI software company Colleva. As CEO, he led the development of an AI platform that helps financial services companies with employee coaching, training, and compliance.
