Airway Therapeutics, an Atlanta, GA-based clinical biopharmaceutical company developing new biologic therapies for respiratory, inflammatory, and infectious diseases, has raised $50 million in a funding round.
The funding was backed by Cincinnati Children’s and a syndicate of large family offices.
The financing includes $26 million previously raised through a SAFE financing and $24 million through its Series E-2 round.
The company plans to use the capital primarily to advance its lead candidate, zelpultide alfa, in a late-stage clinical trial for the prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in very preterm infants.
