Greenstone Biosciences, Inc. and Intel Corp. Launch Strategic Collaboration
Jun 22, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Greenstone Biosciences, Inc. has announced a collaboration with Intel Corp to advance AI-powered drug discovery. The partnership combines Greenstone’s large human biobank of induced pluripotent stem cells with Intel’s advanced Edge AI computing and infrastructure technologies to help speed up the drug discovery process.
Intel and Greenstone are partnering to accelerate the development of new medicines. The collaboration combines Greenstone’s expertise in human genetics and biology with Intels specialized computing technology to improve the processing, storage and analysis of large amounts of data.
Greenstone has developed the world’s largest human biobank of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), providing a valuable resource for AI-driven drug discovery and research.
The collaboration also supports the growing adoption of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), encouraged by recent U.S. FDA initiatives. These approaches are designed to complement traditional animal testing and improve the relevance of preclinical research for human health.

By combining human cell-based models, large-scale population data, and AI-powered analytics, Greenstone and Intel aim to improve drug safety testing and help accelerate the development of new medicines.
“This collaboration represents an important step toward more human centered drug development,” said Joseph C. Wu, M.D., Ph.D., Co Founder of Greenstone Biosciences and Director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute (SCVI). By combining our iPSC-based systems with Intel’s advanced computing architecture, we identify patient-specific response patterns, improve prediction of adverse drug effects, and advance new medicines more quickly and at a lower cost.”
About Greenstone Biosciences, Inc.
