Healthtech Startup TytoCare Lands $25M+ to Expand Remote Care Platform
Jul 16, 2026 | By Devin Jacobs

TytoCare, a NYC–based developer of remote physical examination technology featuring FDA-cleared medical devices, has raised $25M+ in a funding round led by Insight Partners with participation from existing strategic investors.
The company will use the funding to expand its operations and continue developing its products.
The company is expanding its platform to provide clinical-grade remote care for patients with chronic and complex conditions. With this expansion, TytoCare aims to improve how virtual primary care is delivered to patients who need ongoing, high-quality care.

TytoCare's platform combines a handheld examination device with FDA-cleared medical tools that allow clinicians to remotely examine the heart, lungs, ears, skin, throat, and abdomen. It also uses FDA-cleared AI software to help doctors perform accurate remote physical exams with confidence.
The company is also expanding its partnerships with health systems, insurance providers and employer health programs. Its main focus is on supporting patients with chronic conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), COPD, cancer treatment monitoring, and post-surgery recovery.
TytoCare combines FDA-cleared AI software with its remote examination devices to help clinicians perform more accurate virtual exams. The platform can analyze lung sounds, detect heart related signals and support skin assessments, giving doctors valuable clinical data to make better decisions.
These capabilities help health systems provide specialist-level care to patients at home, making TytoCare a complete remote care solution for virtual healthcare.
"Health systems have wanted to extend real clinical care into the home for years. The barrier has long been diagnostic fidelity," said Jeff Horing, Managing Director at Insight Partners. "TytoCare takes a new approach: an FDA-cleared exam device paired with AI algorithms that keep improving as the evidence base grows. That combination is genuinely hard to replicate, and it becomes more defensible over time, not less.
"The convergence of a clinically validated exam device, AI-powered diagnostic algorithms, and the urgent demand from health systems for real clinical intelligence at the point of virtual care is an extraordinary, and rare combination," said Adam Pellegrini, Chief Executive Officer. "TytoCare has built the foundational infrastructure for the next generation of intelligent remote care, and I could not be more energized to lead this next chapter."
