HeyMilo AI Raises $6M in Total Funding by Category Ventures

HeyMilo AI, a NYC-based agentic recruiting platform provider, has raised $6 million in a funding round by Category Ventures, with participation from Canaan Partners, Alumni Ventures, and ERA.
The company plans to use the funding to expand its operations and continue developing its products and technology.
The company has partnered with major staffing firms, recruitment providers, and employers, including Randstad, WilsonHCG, and Neo Financial. Its platform has already screened more than one million candidates across staffing, business process outsourcing (BPO), and large-scale corporate hiring.

Hiring teams are facing a new challenge as candidates increasingly use AI tools to apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews. However, many hiring processes still rely on traditional methods such as resumes and phone calls.
HeyMilo modernizes this process by adding interactive screening directly into the job application. Candidates can be evaluated through voice, video, phone, SMS, and resume based assessments, while recruiters receive scored results, transcripts and supporting evidence directly within their existing applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Along with the new funding, HeyMilo is introducing three new AI-powered tools. The AI Scenario Assessment places candidates in real-world situations where they work with an AI assistant, allowing employers to evaluate how well they plan tasks, use AI prompts, and assess AI-generated results.
The company is also launching Candidate Recommendations, which identifies and ranks previously screened candidates from an ATS, and Notetaker, which automatically records and organizes notes from recruiter-led interviews, creating consistent and easy-to-review candidate records.
