Lineaje secures $20 million in series A round funding. The software supply chain faces threats from all sides. More than half of organisations have encountered a software supply chain attack, with 54% having done so in the previous year, according to a Ponemon Institute analysis from 2024.
Supply chain assaults, which can financially ruin an organisation, usually target open source software or services provided by third parties that are part of a company’s IT stack. A Juniper Research report estimates that by 2026, supply chain hacking might cause losses in income and damages to the world economy of almost $81 billion.

Through the public declaration of software supply chain security as a national security threat and the issuance of an executive order with the goal of creating mitigating measures, the White House has demonstrated its commitment to tackling the larger issue.
