Boston-based Nabla secures $24M in series B round funding. Zebox Ventures and Cathay Innovation led the $43 million round, which raised the total amount.
The funds will be utilised by the business to increase Nabla Copilot’s functionality and user base. Under the direction of CEO Alex Lebrun, Nabla has created Nabla Copilot, an ambient AI which generates clinical notes from any encounter in any specialty in a matter of seconds, relieving practitioners of stress and enhancing patient care.

Moreover, Nabla Copilot can recognise medical codes with AI support and integrate EHRs seamlessly. Nabla, which is accessible via desktop, mobile, and API, continuously enhances user experience through the implementation of suggestions from its active community of clinicians.
The business complies with the tightest privacy and confidentiality laws by not storing any data. Since its launch in March 2023, the copilot has grown quickly, with over 20,000 providers having already embraced the solution.

Nabla was founded in 2018 and uses in-house Large Language Models (LLM) and Speech-to-Text (STT) technologies created by former engineers from Facebook AI Research.
Doctor Andrew Lundquist, Chief Medical Officer of the Mankato Clinic, Dr. Haipeng (Mark) Zhang, Associate Programme Director of the Clinical Informatics and Innovation Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Megan Mahoney, Professor and Chair at the UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine, and Yann LeCun, the godfather of AI, are among the medical and AI experts who serve as advisors.
