Health Care Startup Modivcare Appoints Marshalina Ramos as CEO

Ramos brings more than 30 years of experience in home care, including clinical, operational, and executive roles. Before joining Modivcare, she founded and led Visionary Group, an advisory firm serving home care and hospice organisations.

She previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Premier Home Health Care Services, a multi-state home care provider. She also held several senior leadership roles at VNS Health, one of the largest providers of in-home care in the US.

As part of Modivcare’s executive leadership team, Ramos will lead the company’s Personal Care Services business across the US and oversee its national PCS operations.

At Premier, Marsha managed home care, care management, and consumer-directed programs across seven states and 27 offices. She helped strengthen referral relationships, grow the number of patients served, and led the company’s move to a new electronic medical records system.

Marsha spent 26 years at VNS Health, one of the largest nonprofit home and community care organisations in the US. She started in clinical intake and later became Vice President of Operations, overseeing certified home care services across the organisation’s regional offices.

“Marsha is a proven home care operator who has successfully led at every level of the business,” said Leslie Norwalk, Chair of the Modivcare Board of Managers. “She has built and stabilized multi-state home care operations, navigated complex regulatory and managed care environments, and earned the loyalty of the teams she has led.
