Claryx, a NYC-based provider of a genomic intelligence platform for hospital infection prevention, has raised $3.5M in a Pre-Seed funding round led by Outlander.

The round also saw participation from Company Ventures, Boost VC, Neon, Mana Ventures, 640 Oxford and Precursor.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand operations and accelerate research and development.

About Claryx

Claryx is developing what it describes as a “hospital immune system” using genomic intelligence. Its platform analyzes the genomes of confirmed patient infections to identify related cases, map potential transmission chains and trace infections to their likely sources.

The company combines pathogen sequencing with a digital twin of the hospital, created using samples from air, water and surfaces. This enables hospitals to identify potential environmental reservoirs and investigate outbreaks before transmission becomes widespread.
