Penguin Solutions Appoints Stephen Cumming as Chief Financial Officer

Penguin Solutions, has appointed Stephen Cumming as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
SUMMARY
- Penguin Solutions appointed Stephen Cumming as CFO.
- He will lead finance as the company expands its AI business.
- Penguin Solutions builds AI and data center infrastructure.
Cumming is an experienced public company executive with a background in the infrastructure systems, software, services and semiconductor industries. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Edgio and has held CFO roles at several public companies.
Before joining Edgio, Cumming was Chief Financial Officer of Cambium Networks, where he helped lead the company through its IPO in 2019. He previously served as CFO of Kenandy, Inc., a cloud-based enterprise software company.

He also spent 21 years in the semiconductor industry, including as CFO of Atmel Corporation and in senior finance roles at Fairchild Semiconductor and National Semiconductor.
Cumming holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Surrey and is a UK Chartered Management Accountant. Following his appointment, Aaron Johnson, who has served as Interim CFO since July 2026, will return to his role as Vice President of Finance and Accounting.
