Straiker Raises $64M in Series A Funding Led by Citi Ventures
Jun 30, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Straiker, a Mountain View, CA-based developer of an artificial intelligence security and autonomous agent protection platform, has raised $64 million in a Series A funding round led by Marathon Management Partners, Citi Ventures, Illuminate Financial, and Workday Ventures.
The round also saw other investors, Bain Capital Ventures and Lightspeed. In conjunction with the financing, Marathon Founding Partner Gokul Rajaram joined Straiker’s board of directors.
The company plans to use the funding to enhance its security platform, support its STAR Labs threat research team, and expand its business into international markets.
AI agents are rapidly becoming a key part of the enterprise workforce, automating tasks ranging from daily operations to customer service and business processes. As their use grows, they also introduce new security risks because they can make decisions and take actions on their own across multiple systems.

Recent incidents and security research have highlighted these risks. Attackers have used AI agents to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized access to accounts. Testing by STAR Labs also found that attacks on AI agents can lead to remote code execution or the silent theft of sensitive data, showing the need for stronger security as AI adoption increases.
As AI agents gain access to sensitive systems, organizations need better visibility into which AI agents are being used, what data they can access, how they operate, and where security risks may exist.
Straiker's platform helps by discovering AI agents across an organization, testing them for security weaknesses before deployment, and monitoring them in real time to detect and stop threats. The platform continuously improves its protection by using insights from both testing and live environments. At the same time, its work with leading AI labs helps it stay ahead of emerging AI security threats.
"Demand is outpacing anything we forecast," said Ankur Shah, Co-Founder and CEO of Straiker. "This round goes straight into product, our STAR Labs threat research, and the global expansion our enterprise customers are pulling us toward."
"Given their scope and autonomy, AI agents need to be treated like first-class citizens," said Gokul Rajaram, Founding Partner at Marathon. "Enterprises need a purpose-built solution given the magnitude of the problem. Straiker will be one of the few companies that define how agents are secured."
"AI agents are getting the keys to real systems and real data, which makes securing them one of the defining challenges of this era. I'm glad to work with innovative teams like Straiker that are focused on getting it right," said Brad Jones, Chief Information Security Officer.
"Our uniqueness comes from pairing the industry's most comprehensive agentic exploit dataset with an AI-native security engine purpose-built for autonomous threats. That foundation allows us to secure the next generation of AI-powered enterprises," said Sreenath Kurupati, Co-Founder and CTO of Straiker.
