Vêtir, a NYC-based AI-powered luxury wardrobe operating system, has raised $5.5 million in a Series A funding round by Laidlaw and Company, among others. The company is valued at $150 million.
The company plans to use the funds to accelerate development of its personalization technology, expand its international reach and strengthen partnerships with enterprise clients in luxury fashion and retail.
This funding comes at an important time for both AI and the luxury industry. Most AI in shopping today focuses on finding products and completing transactions, but Vêtir goes further by acting as a wardrobe system that tracks what users own, what they want, and how they live—all in one place. This makes the company an early leader in serving luxury customers, where personalisation, privacy, and long-term relationships matter most.
Vêtir works as an always-on AI stylist that learns from a user’s wardrobe, preferences, calendar, travel plans and buying habits. This creates ongoing personalization that continues even after a purchase. Its technology includes features like image and video search, realistic virtual try-ons and quick wardrobe uploads.

On the business side, Vêtir also provides a CRM-style tool for personal stylists and luxury retail teams. It organizes customer information and builds continuity in a space that is often unstructured and relationship-based. Tracking purchases, wardrobe data and preferences over time helps brands, and stylists offer more tailored service and increase long-term customer value.
Along with the funding, Vêtir is expanding its leadership team with new high-profile advisors from the technology, media, and luxury retail sectors. The company has added Stephanie Horton from Google’s global commerce team and Nina Garcia, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE and a Project Runway judge, to its Advisory Board. Their experience in commerce, media, and luxury consumers strengthens Vêtir’s position at the intersection of fashion and technology.

"As Vêtir grows, we've been very deliberate in how we've built both the product and the company," said Kate Davidson Hudson, Founder and CEO of Vêtir. "The focus is on building intelligence around the wardrobe itself—well beyond a traditional shopping interface. With our lead investors now in place, we've kept a small portion of the round open for a few strategic partners who can add real value as we continue to scale globally."
