[Funding alert] WA-based Retrocausal Secures $5.3M in Funding

Retrocausal, based in Washington, secures $5.3 million. With participation from current investors Argon Ventures, Differential Ventures, Ascend Vietnam Ventures, Incubate Fund US, SaaS Ventures, Hypertherm Ventures, Stage Venture Partners, and Techstars, the round was headed by Glasswing Ventures, One Way Ventures, and Indicator Ventures.

Retrocausal, based in Washington, secures $5.3 million. With participation from current investors Argon Ventures, Differential Ventures, Ascend Vietnam Ventures, Incubate Fund US, SaaS Ventures, Hypertherm Ventures, Stage Venture Partners, and Techstars, the round was headed by Glasswing Ventures, One Way Ventures, and Indicator Ventures.

The startup is going to use the funds to supply its unique generative AI technology to the market. Retrocausal, a firm led by CEO Zeeshan Zia, specialises in AI-powered augmentation technologies that support industrial engineers in continually enhancing shop floor activities while supporting factory workers in minimising assembly errors.

With the help of its Kaizen Copilot software for Manufacturing Assembly Optimisation solution, low-skilled workers may now do high-skill manufacturing tasks by streamlining manual assembly processes and the underlying processes.

Using its own datasets for training, Retrocausal has been creating multi-modal foundation models with an industrial focus. The US Patent Office (USPTO) granted the business three patents for its generative AI technology, and it currently has four pending patents.

The company moved to Dallas, Texas in April 2023 in order to be nearer to its Midwest and Mexican manufacturing clients. In addition, it has started working together on projects with Siemens Digital Industries and Honda Innovations.
