Quintessent, a Santa Barbara, CA-based provider of AI datacenter optical interconnect products, has raised $40 million in a Series A funding round led by Cycle Capital.
The round also saw participation from Goldman Sachs XIG-Industry Ventures, Hina Liberty Capital, Susquehanna International Group, InterVest, Safar Partners, Ciena, Foothill Ventures, M Ventures, Osage University Partners, and Sierra Ventures.
The company plans to use the funding to scale manufacturing of its comb laser technology and develop additional optical components for AI infrastructure.
