Khartis Therapeutics, a San Diego, CA-based provider of a biotechnology platform developing therapies for immunological and chronic diseases, has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Forge Life Science Partners.

The round also saw participation from Longwood Fund, Alexandria Venture Investments, Foresite Capital, Lilly Asia Ventures, and Nextech Invest. The round brought the total amount to $95 million.

The company plans to use the new capital to advance its lead program, an oral selective IGF-1R inhibitor being developed for the treatment of thyroid eye disease (TED).
