Clarium, a healthcare supply chain technology startup, has raised $27 million in a Series A funding round led by Northzone, with continued support from existing investors including General Catalyst, AlleyCorp, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Texas Medical Center Ventures, and 1984 Ventures. The funding marks a significant milestone in Clarium’s mission to transform the modern hospital supply chain using AI and automation.
At the core of Clarium’s innovation is AstraOS, the world’s first healthcare supply chain resiliency platform. AstraOS leverages crowdsourced data from providers, suppliers, and vendors to provide hospitals with predictive insights, automated workflows, and disruption management tools. This unified approach helps hospitals reduce waste, improve efficiency, and achieve meaningful cost savings.

Clarium is addressing a massive challenge in the healthcare industry: an estimated $25 billion in annual overspending on outdated supply chain systems. Historically seen as cost centers, hospital supply chains have relied on fragmented solutions and manual processes. Clarium’s platform introduces a data-driven alternative that helps hospitals proactively manage disruptions, streamline inventory management, and optimize supply substitutions.
The company has already partnered with leading health systems such as Yale New Haven Health, Stanford, Geisinger, Boston Children’s, Ochsner, The Cleveland Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Sutter Health, and others. These collaborations have driven the development of a comprehensive platform designed for real-world use across diverse healthcare settings.

“With the growing impact of climate change, geopolitical risks, and economic uncertainty, hospitals must modernize their supply chains to remain resilient and ensure patient safety,” said Clarium’s team in a statement. “This investment will enable us to expand our platform capabilities, grow our team, and scale our technology to new hospital systems.”
The Series A round positions Clarium to lead the transformation of hospital supply chains into strategic assets that support better care outcomes, operational efficiency, and long-term resiliency.
