After generating $1 million in revenue in 2025, Kind Designs has already secured $10 million in contracted revenue and built a project pipeline worth $175 million. The company is also expanding its work with municipalities, luxury hotels, and federal agencies, including a recently awarded $2 million U.S. Navy contract.
For years, seawalls were built mainly to protect land from water. Kind Designs is taking a different approach by creating shoreline solutions that not only protect coastal communities but also improve water quality and support marine life.
Using large-scale 3D printing and ecological engineering, the company develops products such as Living Seawalls, Living Seawall Tiles, 3D-Printed Artificial Reefs, and Living Shorelines for commercial, municipal, and defense projects.
Kind Designs has recently won contracts to build Living Seawalls for the Fontainebleau, Pagani, and Ritz-Carlton in Miami Beach. The company has also completed shoreline projects for the municipalities of Miami Shores and Longboat Key.
Beyond Florida, Kind Designs has secured its first projects in New York City, Charleston, and Nassau. It is also expanding into California, where it is working on opportunities related to coastal erosion and rail infrastructure protection.
“The seawall industry is a multi-hundred-billion-dollar market that has never had a true technology company,” said Anya Freeman, founder and CEO of Kind Designs. “We're building one of America's most important tech companies to put resiliency on the map as the next great industrial category.”
"Most climate founders pitch you on saving the planet. Anya pitched me on an opportunity to disrupt a multi-billion-dollar coastal infrastructure market in a way that’s faster, cheaper, and also better for the environment,” comments Cuban. “Kind Designs continues to cement itself as a leading innovator in coastal resiliency and is a perfect reminder that you can both ‘do well’ and ‘do good’. This is why I wrote another check to the company."
