Corgi Insurance Appoints James Kullman as Head of Underwriting

He brings nearly 15 years of experience in commercial insurance, with expertise in risk assessment, portfolio management, product development and underwriting strategy.

At Corgi Insurance, Kullman will lead commercial underwriting across North America. He will use AI to improve risk assessment, develop underwriting guidelines, manage insurance portfolios and support regulatory compliance.

His role will focus on combining traditional insurance expertise with AI tools to make commercial insurance more efficient, responsive and accessible.

Kullman joins Corgi Insurance from Chubb, where he most recently served as Assistant Vice President and Underwriting Manager for the Pacific North region, focusing on small and lower middle-market businesses in North America.

Before Chubb, he held underwriting roles at CNA Insurance, The Hartford and Liberty Mutual, working with construction businesses, middle-market clients and property and casualty insurance.

Kullman’s appointment reflects Corgi’s efforts to strengthen its insurance team, expand its commercial insurance business and use technology to improve how insurers, brokers and customers work together.
