Fortem Technologies Announces Strategic Partnership with MBDA
Oct 12, 2026 | By Kuldeep Jangid

Fortem Technologies, a company specialising in airspace security and defence, has expanded its strategic partnership with MBDA, a European defence systems company.
SUMMARY
- Fortem expanded its partnership with MBDA.
- They will offer counter-drone systems.
- Fortem develops anti-drone technology.
The partnership will integrate Fortem’s autonomous counter-drone systems into the air defence systems used by MBDA’s defence and government customers across Europe and other global markets.
The agreement builds on a technical partnership that began in 2024, when Fortem’s DroneHunter® autonomous interceptor was integrated into MBDA’s Sky Warden® counter-drone system.

Under the expanded partnership, MBDA will offer DroneHunter interceptors that can be added to existing air defence networks instead of being used as a separate system. Sales will depend on the required export approvals.
Fortem and MBDA will also jointly offer FireThorn®, an autonomous interceptor developed by both companies. It is designed to counter one-way attack drones and other hostile uncrewed aircraft, including Shahed/Geran and Orlan drones.
FireThorn combines Fortem’s high-speed, radar-guided aircraft with an MBDA warhead approved for NATO use to destroy hostile drones on impact.
