Glenfarne Group, LLC, a global developer, owner, and operator of energy infrastructure, has promoted Oliver Wood to Global Head of Projects.

In this newly created role, Wood will oversee engineering and construction activities across Glenfarne’s North American LNG portfolio.
He will be part of the company’s executive team and lead project development, contracting, execution, safety, and operational readiness. Wood will oversee LNG projects in Alaska, Texas, and Louisiana as Glenfarne continues to expand its energy infrastructure operations.

Wood brings 20 years of project experience in the oil and gas industry, including more than 10 years in management roles. He joined Glenfarne in May 2023 as Construction, and Module Director for Texas LNG.
Before Glenfarne, he held senior technical and project leadership roles at McDermott International, CB&I and CJV. He worked on several major LNG projects, including Golden Pass LNG, Wheatstone LNG, Pluto LNG, South Hook LNG and North West Shelf Venture Train V.
“Oliver has been instrumental in successfully advancing our Texas LNG project and building our companywide project execution capabilities,” said Glenfarne Chief Executive Officer and Founder Brendan Duval. “In his new role he will ensure that our projects are developed according to the strategic, commercial, and operational objectives that are central to Glenfarne’s long-term growth.
