Heart + Paw (“H+P”), a Philadelphia-based company, has secured a strategic growth investment. The deal’s total value was not made public. The investment will be utilised by the company to broaden its business and operational scope.
Heart + Paw is a platform for pet care services that was founded in 2018 offering boarding, daycare, grooming and veterinary care. Heart + Paw, a network of 28 locations spanning 10 states, is implementing a partnership programme that allows veterinarians with an entrepreneurial spirit to become practice owners.

With the help of the committed team at Heart + Paw, which offers mentorship, a network of like-minded practice owners, expanded business expertise, and best-in-class operational support, veterinarians can design, build, and co-own a Heart + Paw practice.
With the company’s support centre, which offers creative client engagement programmes like a pet portal and exclusive booking tool that enable pet parents and veterinarians to communicate around-the-clock, Heart + Paw’s practices are all supported.

The centre also manages workstreams related to information technology, marketing, accounting, human resources, and recruiting. Heart + Paw will remain under the direction of its current management group, which consists of Dave Lasus, the Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. George Melillo, the Founder and Chief Veterinary Officer.
