May 5, 2026 | By Startuprise io

BlueVoyant has announced that John Hernandez will become Chief Executive Officer, replacing co founder Jim Rosenthal, who will remain as Chairman of the Board, and Hernandez will focus on leading the company’s global strategy and scaling its AI driven cybersecurity platform to help organizations move from reacting to threats to proactively strengthening their security.
John Hernandez previously served as President and General Manager of Quest Software’s Microsoft Platform Management business, where he led global security, identity, and data solutions for cloud and hybrid environments and drove growth in cloud and recurring revenue. Before that, he transformed a $1B business at Genesys into a cloud-based, AI-driven platform, and he has also held senior leadership roles at Salesforce, IBM, and Cisco, where he helped scale enterprise platforms and drive innovation globally.
BlueVoyant works with over 1,000 clients in 45 countries and processes around 38 million security alerts every day, offering services like Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and Digital Risk Protection (DRP) to help organizations detect threats inside their systems, through suppliers, and from outside risks.
Under John Hernandez’s leadership, the company will further develop its AI-driven platform by combining advanced analytics with human expertise to help organizations prevent and respond to threats in real time, while improving third party risk management through continuous, automated monitoring rather than one time checks.
