Karoo is building a technology platform for cardiovascular care that connects health insurers, healthcare providers, and patients in one system. The platform helps detect heart disease earlier, improves care coordination, and supports better treatment outcomes.

The company's goal is to reduce the impact of cardiovascular disease by enabling earlier diagnosis, better collaboration between care teams, and smarter, data-driven healthcare.

Heart disease is the biggest cause of healthcare spending in the United States, but patient care is often spread across different systems, including medical records, insurance claims, pharmacy data, and care teams. This lack of coordination can delay treatment and make it harder to manage chronic heart conditions. As a result, many patients face preventable hospital visits, unnecessary procedures, and repeated medical tests.

Today, Karoo works with more than 600 cardiology providers across 11 U.S. states. The company partners with leading national and regional health plans and plans to launch additional programs later this year.

In existing programs, independent studies found that emergency room visits and hospital admissions fell by more than 40%. Early results also show a reduction of over 10% in overall healthcare costs for the patient groups using the platform.

"We've been waiting for a company with the technology, clinical vision, and leadership team capable of fundamentally changing how cardiac care is delivered. We believe Karoo Health is that company, and we're proud to support their mission to improve outcomes for patients at scale while helping build a more proactive, connected, and effective model for cardiovascular care," said Jeff Stolte, Managing Partner at Allumia Ventures.

"We're at a seminal moment in our country's fight against cardiovascular disease," said Karoo Health CEO and Cofounder Ian Koons. "We intend to use this capital to take another major step toward becoming the solution that enables every American to access earlier, more coordinated, and more effective cardiovascular care."
