Katten Appoints Josh Kaufman as Managing Partner of Katten’s new Miami office

Katten has appointed Josh Kaufman as the Managing Partner of its new Miami office. He will also join the firm's Capital Markets practice as a partner and lead its Public Company Advisory Practice.
Kaufman joins Katten from DLA Piper, where he advised high-growth companies on capital raising, business strategy, and major corporate transactions. He has extensive experience helping businesses navigate financing and long-term growth.
Josh Kaufman focuses on equity and debt capital markets transactions. His experience includes initial public offerings, de-SPACs, reverse mergers, direct listings, secondary offerings, PIPEs, ATM programs, preferred stock offerings, convertible notes, and debt offerings.
He has represented public companies before the SEC, Nasdaq, and the New York Stock Exchange, and has advised clients on corporate law matters in Delaware, New York, and Florida.

Kaufman has worked with clients in industries such as life sciences, technology, digital assets, REITs, financial services, and emerging growth companies. He has also advised businesses across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, and has built strong ties within the South Florida business community.
Katten's Capital Markets practice advises public and private companies, underwriters, placement agents, and investors on a wide range of securities transactions. Its work includes IPOs, debt offerings, PIPEs, strategic transactions, and venture and growth capital financing.
The team supports companies at every stage of their growth, from early fundraising to becoming public companies. It also has extensive experience handling cross-border transactions and regulatory matters, with attorneys completing hundreds of deals valued from about $5 million to $3.5 billion.
