CleanAmps and Excelsior Energy Capital Expand Strategic Collaboration

Jul 4, 2026 | By Startuprise io

CleanAmps Holdings Inc., a U.S.-based company focused on control technology, energy infrastructure, and AI infrastructure, has expanded its strategic partnership with Excelsior Energy Capital.

The companies will work together to speed up the development and deployment of digital infrastructure solutions that support the growing demand for AI computing capacity and reliable power infrastructure. Their expanded collaboration aims to help meet the increasing energy and computing needs of data centers and other high-performance applications.

The expanded partnership builds on more than three years of collaboration between the two companies on utility-scale energy projects. Together, they have worked on more than 3 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects and over 10 GWh of battery procurement initiatives, including battery solutions that meet U.S. manufacturing and energy security requirements.

As part of the partnership, CleanAmps has supported Excelsior by providing strategic advisory, system engineering, and integration expertise. The companies have also worked on clean power solutions designed to meet the growing energy needs of data centers, industrial facilities, and other critical infrastructure.

The expanded partnership highlights both companies commitment to strengthening North America's energy and digital infrastructure. Together, they aim to deliver advanced technology solutions that combine AI computing, reliable power systems and secure operational controls to support the growing needs of modern industries.

"Over the past three years, CleanAmps has demonstrated exceptional capabilities in engineering, controls integration, energy storage deployment, and infrastructure innovation," said Ryan Fegley, Partner of Excelsior Energy Capital. "We believe the next wave of infrastructure investment will increasingly focus on the intersection of power and compute. This expanded collaboration positions us to help address the growing need for reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient digital infrastructure."

"AI infrastructure is rapidly becoming one of the most important strategic sectors in the global economy," said Breck Boven, Chief Technical Officer of CleanAmps. "For AI to scale, compute infrastructure and energy infrastructure can no longer be developed independently. Our experience across utility-scale energy storage, advanced controls, and infrastructure operations has positioned us to bridge that gap. Together with Excelsior, we are looking to accelerate deployment of a U.S.-owned compute infrastructure that combines resilient low-carbon power systems and modular compute infrastructure into a single integrated solution."
