Leading Capital Markets Partner Joins Latham & Watkins in Houston

Nelson is a highly experienced capital markets lawyer who advises public and private companies, investment banks, private investors, private equity firms, and their portfolio companies on complex financing transactions and corporate governance matters.

Nelson advises clients on public offerings, private placements, cross-border securities offerings, monetization deals, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and shareholder activism defense.

He works with companies across a wide range of industries, including energy, utilities, renewable energy, chemicals, industrials, insurance, hospitality, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and technology.

Nelson joins Latham from A&O Shearman. He earned a JD from the University of Texas School of Law, a master's degree from Brown University, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
