Altimeter Capital led the investment, with Redpoint Ventures and angel investors Jeff Dean, Elad Gil, Aravind Srinivas, Ahmad Masad, and Guillermo Rauch also participating.

The money will be used by the business to grow both its operations and growth initiatives.
It is an open-source realtime platform that lets developers integrate speech, video, and data capabilities into their apps. The platform is led by CEO Russ D’Sa. It is used by more than 20,000 developers and teams, including both private enterprises and lone hackers.
