Maple and TRAY Partner to Bring Voice AI to Restaurants
May 4, 2026 | By Startuprise io

TRAY, a global provider of cloud-based POS systems, has partnered with Maple to offer 24/7 AI-powered phone ordering for multi-location restaurant brands using TRAY’s platform.
Maple connects directly to TRAY’s POS system and automatically pulls menu details like items, add-ons, prices, and availability, allowing restaurants to start quickly with accurate order taking from the first call.
Maple integrates directly with TRAY, so phone orders go straight into the system and are sent to kitchen displays and printers instantly, while menu updates sync automatically in real time; it also supports multi-location management with centralized reporting, answers every call at any time—including peak hours, after closing, and holidays—and helps customers with reservations, catering requests, hours, directions, and common questions.
Many American restaurants miss about one in three calls during busy hours, leading to billions in lost revenue each year, and hiring more staff hasn’t fully solved the issue—especially for brands with many locations—so the integration between TRAY and Maple helps capture those missed orders while allowing staff to focus on in-person customers. Since launching in December 2023, Maple has handled over 1 million calls and resolved 96% of them without human help.
