Peugeot Invest commits $175M stake in Mérieux NutriSciences

Peugeot Invest has committed $175 million to Mérieux NutriSciences to support its acquisition of Certified Group and expand its presence in North America’s food safety market.

Mérieux NutriSciences, part of Institut Mérieux, provides food quality, and safety testing services. The company has 10,000 employees across 140 accredited laboratories and generates more than $1 billion in revenue.
As part of the deal, Peugeot Invest will become a major minority investor and take a seat on Mérieux NutriSciences board. The investment follows the company’s integration of Bureau Veritas’ global food testing business in 2024.
