SageOx, a Seattle, WA-based startup building a shared context infrastructure for AI-native teams, has raised $15 million in a Seed funding round led by Canaan Partners, with participation from A.Capital, Pioneer Square Labs, and Founders’ Co-op.
The company plans to use the funds to continue improving its product and hire a small number of key team members.
Today’s AI agents operate in separate sessions without shared memory of past decisions, plans, or team discussions, so each task often starts from scratch, forcing teams to repeatedly provide context and fix inconsistencies, which leads to growing misalignment across the system.
SageOx is building a platform that solves this problem by capturing context from conversations, chats, coding sessions and existing tools, then turning it into shared knowledge that AI agents can use in future tasks. This allows agents to continue work with an understanding of past decisions, team standards and project goals, helping humans and AI stay aligned with less manual effort.

SageOx is already working with early design partners and follows an “open work” approach, allowing users to see how its team builds products alongside AI agents, demonstrating the company’s belief that knowledge should be continuously captured and shared.
SageOx sees its platform as a core foundation for AI-driven work, similar to how cloud infrastructure shaped the previous generation of software.

"As an in-person team, a lot of our best decisions happen in conversation," said Marius Ciocirlan, CEO at Mark OS. "Before SageOx, our agents weren't part of that; they felt remote. We had to recap decisions constantly, and things would get lost. Now SageOx automatically keeps them in the loop. Conversations turn into output in minutes. It's fundamentally changed how we build, less translation, more collaboration."
"We're at the beginning of a fundamental shift in how knowledge work gets done, where teams increasingly operate as a combination of humans and AI agents," said Kumar Sreekanti, Venture Partner at Canaan Partners. "Every major shift like this creates a new systems layer, and in this case, that layer is context. SageOx is building that foundation, and we believe it has the potential to become core infrastructure for this new era of AI-native work."
"As teams begin operating at multiples of their traditional speed, in some cases 20x to 40x faster, their existing processes break down, and the ability to share decisions, intent, and history across humans and agents becomes critical infrastructure," said Ajit Banerjee, founder and CEO of SageOx.
About SageOx
Founded in 2026, by Ajit Banerjee, Ryan Snodgrass and Milkana Brace, SageOx provides context infrastructure for collaboration between humans and Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents by capturing decisions, knowledge, and intent during work, and sharing that context across both people and AI system's.
