The company combines in-school care with technology to help school districts monitor student progress, manage clinical records, and handle Medicaid reimbursements.

Why the Funding Matters

Thrive Therapies plans to use the funding to enter new markets, expand its clinical teams, and advance Thrive Clinical.

School districts across the United States face shortages of specialised healthcare professionals, making it difficult to meet the needs of children with disabilities. Districts also face administrative challenges when billing Medicaid for eligible services.

Thrive Therapies aims to address these issues by providing care directly in schools, and using technology to track outcomes and support reimbursement claims.

Who founded Thrive Therapies?

Thrive Therapies was founded in 2023 by Kristin McGraner. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

It combines pediatric healthcare services with clinical data, Medicaid revenue cycle management, and outcomes reporting to support schools serving children with disabilities.

"I've been on every side of this. I ran a school system that paid for these services, I spent years researching whether they worked, and I was a child whose disability was identified late," said Dr. Kristin McGraner, founder and CEO of Thrive Therapies.

"Dr. Kristin McGraner and the team at Thrive bring a rare combination of education and clinical leadership and proprietary technology to serve both children and the schools that support them," said Krishna Srinivasan, board member and founding partner, LiveOak Ventures.

Market and Business Growth

Thrive Therapies provides therapy, evaluations, and behavioural healthcare in more than 200 schools and districts across six states.

Its Thrive Clinical platform has documented more than 18,000 therapy sessions. The platform provides real-time reporting, helping schools track progress at the session level rather than relying only on annual assessments.

The company also supports Medicaid revenue cycle management by using clinical records to help districts prepare reimbursement claims. This approach is intended to reduce paperwork and allow clinicians to spend more time delivering care.

What Happens Next?

Thrive Therapies plans to expand into additional markets, hire more clinical professionals, and continue developing Thrive Clinical.

The company will focus on combining in-school healthcare delivery with clinical intelligence and reimbursement support to help school districts serve children with disabilities and manage their healthcare programmes.
