Aboard Closes Pre-Series A Funding Led by Ondine Capital

May 23, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Aboard, an Orange, CA-based provider of products for mobile living, has raised an undisclosed amount in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Ondine Capital and Llama Ventures. The funding round increased the company’s total funding to $13 million.

The company plans to use the funds to support Aboard’s next stage of growth, including final product testing and improvements for its extended-range electric travel trailer before mass production begins.

Aboard’s first product is an extended-range electric travel trailer designed more like a vehicle than a traditional trailer. Built as one integrated system, it combines power, mobility, and living features into a single platform.

The trailer offers a quiet electric experience, built-in energy independence, improved towing and control, automated comfort features, and automotive-style manufacturing with high-precision body and door systems. Aboard’s approach is focused on making travel trailers easier to use while delivering a modern and familiar experience.

Aboard will officially launch publicly on May 29 at Outside Days in Denver. At the event, the company will showcase its travel trailer, discuss product options starting at $80,000, and share its vision for modern mobile living. Visitors will also be able to tour the trailer, and meet the Aboard team.

"Aboard was founded to bring automotive-grade design and engineering to the travel trailer category, so people can travel with the reliability, comfort, and confidence they expect from a modern vehicle without being limited by hookups or complicated RV systems," said Jiangtao Lyu, Founder of Aboard. "With our first travel trailer now in advanced prototype and validation, we're investing in production readiness and bringing Aboard into the outdoor communities where our customers already live, travel and gather."
